How do I send last-minute travel deals on WhatsApp safely?
Offer the deal to past travellers who said yes, from the number they know, at a pace WhatsApp sees as normal.

Send last-minute deals only to past travellers who agreed to hear from you, from the one number they already know, and let Spun pace the send per number, keep quiet hours and add a reply-STOP opt-out line. Start small with a new number, because Spun limits first contacts while a number is new, and Sending Health tells you when to slow down. Spun runs on a flat monthly plan with team members free and a free trial, and campaigns go from your own WhatsApp number, with no Business API approval, no pre-approved message templates and no new number. Pacing, quiet hours and an opt-out line reduce the risk of a restriction, but no tool can promise that a WhatsApp number will never be restricted, and Spun does not. A big list also takes time: at a safe pace a large campaign runs over several days, so a deal for tomorrow goes to the travellers most likely to book, not to everyone.
What gets in the way
The whole list in one go
A sudden spike of offers to people who rarely hear from you is the pattern WhatsApp treats as unwanted.
No record of who agreed
A number in your booking records is not permission to send offers.
Opt-outs get lost
A traveller who replied STOP in March still gets the deal in May.
How your team works it
Label the travellers who said yes
Open Labels from the sidebar, click "+ New Label" and create one such as "Offers OK". Apply it to each traveller who agreed to receive deals.
Create the campaign
Open Campaigns from the sidebar, click "+ New Campaign" and select the recipients by label, so only "Offers OK" travellers are included.
Write the offer and add the opt-out
Use the "Personalize:" buttons to add the first name, then click "Add opt-out line" so the message ends with a reply-STOP line in its language.
Read the preflight
The "Campaign preflight" panel lists recipients, first contacts, links, the send window, duration and line health. Click "Adjust" to change the audience or pace.
Keep the pace and schedule it
Leave the Normal pace and the 22:00 to 08:00 quiet hours as they are, then schedule the campaign or send it now.
Honour every STOP
When a traveller asks to stop, right-click the chat, open its labels and choose "Do not send". Watch the line health strip at the top of the Campaigns hub.
What Spun gives you
Campaigns paced per number
Each campaign sends at a set pace with quiet hours, inside a limit of 8 messages a minute, 200 an hour and 1,000 a day per number, and 3 a minute in a new number's first week.
Learn moreGuards on each number
The "Sending preferences" card in Settings > WhatsApp > Health holds a daily first-contact budget, "Auto-slow" and "Pause while restricted". First contacts over the budget wait for the next day.
Sending Health
A score from 0 to 100 per number that tells you when to slow down. It is advice: not a WhatsApp score and not a ban prediction, and it never blocks a send.
Opt-outs that stick
Travellers with the "Do not send" label never receive campaigns or other automated messages, so a STOP is honoured on every send after it.
Quick sends paced the same way
"Send to Multiple" runs at the same pace and with the same guards, shows "paused for quiet hours" when the window is closed, and has a "Stop" button.
One number per audience
A second number is a separate inbox for a separate audience, such as another office, with its own add-on plan. It is not a way to spread one campaign across numbers.
Thursday at a three-agent travel agency
- 09:00A partner releases six seats on Saturday's flight to Rome at a lower price.
- 09:15An agent opens Campaigns, clicks "+ New Campaign" and picks the "Offers OK" label: 140 past travellers who asked for deals.
- 09:20The preflight shows about half an hour at the Normal pace and nine first contacts. The agent adds the opt-out line and schedules it for 10:00.
- 10:40Eleven travellers have replied. Two asked to stop, and the agent gives both the "Do not send" label.
- 15:30The seats are sold. The agent answers the late replies one by one and keeps the line health strip on Healthy.
What Spun does not do
- No tool can promise that a WhatsApp number will never be restricted, and Spun does not. Pacing, quiet hours and opt-outs reduce the risk.
- It does not decide who agreed to hear from you. Consent is yours to ask for and record.
- It does not use the WhatsApp Business API or its pre-approved message templates, so normal WhatsApp limits apply to your number.
- A big list takes days at a safe pace: each number sends at most 1,000 messages a day, and fewer to first contacts while it is new.
- Sending Health is advice, not a WhatsApp score and not a ban prediction.
Frequently asked questions
How do I send last-minute deals to past travellers on WhatsApp legally and safely?
Send offers only to past travellers who agreed to hear from you, and let Spun pace the send per number, keep quiet hours and add a reply-STOP opt-out line. Start small with new numbers, because Spun limits first contacts while a number is new. Sending Health tells you when to slow down.
Do I need consent to send travel offers on WhatsApp?
Yes, in practice and in many countries by law. A number in your booking records is not permission. Ask, for example at the end of a trip, label the travellers who say yes and keep that record. Marketing rules differ by country, so check the ones that apply to you and your travellers.
How many travellers can I message in a day?
Each number sends at most 8 messages a minute, 200 an hour and 1,000 a day through Spun, and 3 a minute in its first week. By default first contacts, people the number has not messaged before, are also limited to 50 a day while the number is under 30 days old and 150 after that.
Should I spread a big campaign across several numbers?
No. Spreading one campaign across several numbers only gives you several numbers at risk. Keep one number per audience, send less often to fewer people, and let a large campaign take several days. A second number makes sense for a separate audience, with its own inbox and add-on plan.
What happens when a traveller replies STOP?
Give the chat the "Do not send" label. From then on Spun sends that traveller no campaigns or other automated messages, while your team can still answer if they write to you.
Will using Spun get my number banned?
No tool can promise that a WhatsApp number will never be restricted, and Spun does not. What Spun does is pace broadcasts per number, keep quiet hours, add an opt-out line and warn you when sending looks risky. Message people who know you.
