Phone Calls adds inbound and outbound cloud calling to the Spun inbox, so a phone conversation with a customer sits in the same place as the messages you exchanged with them.
Calls can be recorded and transcribed, and the transcript separates the speakers so you can read who said what.
What it does
It makes and receives calls over VoIP from inside Spun. There is a phone icon in the chat header, so you can call the contact you are already reading without copying a number anywhere.
Recordings, diarized transcripts and the details of every call are kept in the Calls panel that the extension adds to the sidebar.

- Teams whose customers still ring, and who want the call and the chat history in one place instead of two systems.
- Anyone who needs a written record of what was agreed on a call, rather than a note typed afterwards from memory.
How it works inside the inbox
- Install Phone Calls from Extensions.
- Configure your phone settings under Settings, Phone Calls.
- Click the phone icon in any chat header to start a call, or take an incoming one.
- Open the Calls panel afterwards for the history, the recording and the transcript.
What it can access
The extension works with your phone numbers and call records: who was called, when, for how long, and the recording and transcript of the call where recording is on. Call recordings are covered by the same privacy commitments as the rest of your workspace data.
Recording a conversation carries legal duties that differ by country, so make sure you tell the other side when the law where you operate requires it.
Like every extension in the marketplace, it asks for narrow, specific permissions that an admin reviews on the install screen, and platform admins can suspend any extension instantly.
