WhatsApp group analysis
Hundreds of groups. One morning report.
Partner groups, supplier groups, internal ops groups: the work happens in all of them at once. Spun reads them for you and answers the questions a manager actually asks. What is still open, who handled it, what needs me?

Requests slip through
A price request posted at 11:40 in one of, say, 300 groups gets an answer or it does not, and nobody can tell which.
“Who handled this?” has no answer
Replies come from personal numbers inside the group. The group name tells you nothing about the person.
The daily picture takes hours
Scrolling through 40 groups before the morning meeting turns into somebody’s whole job.
Decisions get buried
An instruction in an internal group and the “done” that should follow it end up hundreds of messages apart.
How group chat analysis teams use Spun
Ask the groups a question
“Which requests from partner groups got no reply from our team today?” Weave answers from the actual messages and can point to the group and the message behind every item.
Know who sent what
Weave sees the sender of every group message and matches it to your contacts, so it can tell your team’s messages from partners’ and customers’. Save your staff list as contacts once. Members who hide their number are counted and labelled, never silently dropped.
A report in your words
Describe the sections you want, such as open requests, decisions, problems, supplier issues and what needs your decision, and Weave builds the report. Save the prompt and run it again tomorrow.
Pick the window
The last 24 hours, 3 days, a week, a month, everything, or a custom range, set right next to the Weave message box.
Labels and monitors for the long run
Group Intelligence monitors flag the requests you care about as they arrive. Labels turn a list of staff or key partners into something every report can use.
Voice notes count too
When auto-transcribe is on, Weave reads the transcript of each voice note in the group, so “who sent voice notes today, how long, and what did each one say” is one question. A note that is still being transcribed is listed with its sender and time.
Nothing is posted without you
Weave reads and reports. The one thing it can send, a check-in reminder, waits for your approval first.
Up and running in an afternoon
Connect the number that is in the groups
One QR scan, like WhatsApp Web. Spun reads the groups your WhatsApp number belongs to, and nothing else.
Tell Weave who your team is
A manager on your account pastes staff names and numbers into Weave once, confirms the save button it offers and picks a label such as “Booking desk”.
Ask, then save the prompt
Start with “What happened in our groups today that needs my attention?”, refine the sections you want, then save the prompt and run it again each morning.
Frequently asked questions
Does Spun read groups I am not in?
No. Only groups the connected number is a member of.
Can it tell which employee wrote a message?
Yes, when the member’s number is visible in the group, which is the normal case. A small share of members hide their number in WhatsApp. They appear as a “hidden-number member” and are still counted, never silently dropped.
Does it score my employees?
No. It counts messages, groups and activity hours per person, lists what each one answered and quotes the messages behind a problem. The judgment stays with you.
How far back can it look?
As far back as your account has messages: the history WhatsApp provided when you connected, plus everything since.
What does it cost in AI tokens?
Group analysis uses your plan’s AI tokens. A daily management report over hundreds of groups is a few thousand tokens; see Settings, Plan & Usage. Keyword-only Group Intelligence monitors spend nothing.
Will anyone in the groups notice?
Asking Weave posts nothing and messages nobody. The only thing that can reach a member is a check-in reminder you set up, and it waits for your approval before it is sent. Tell your staff their messages are analyzed, in line with your local rules.
Does it understand voice notes?
Yes. When auto-transcribe is on, voice notes are transcribed when they arrive, and Weave reads the transcript like any other message: who sent it, when, how long it was, and what was said. A note that arrived moments ago may still be transcribing; Weave says so instead of guessing.
Can it remind someone who did not send their daily voice note?
Yes, with a check-in rule: pick the group, a deadline and a reminder text. At the deadline Spun lists who is missing and prepares the reminders; you approve them before anything is sent. Members who hide their number cannot be reminded privately; a reminder posted in the group reaches them.
Where does this data actually live?
Your organisation is homed on one data cell - new organisations are created on the EU cell in Nuremberg, Germany - and isolated from every other organisation by PostgreSQL row-level security. You control per-service what reaches an AI provider. Read the security overview.
